About

I am a follower of Jesus Christ who believes that all truth is finally contained in Him. Discovering that truth is a lifelong process and I continue on that journey.

My desire for this blog site is to try to think “Christianly” about every facet of life. Every event in life requires interpretation and that interpretation is conditioned by the way we have shaped our minds with what we believe to be truth. I want my mind to be shaped by Jesus Christ as He has revealed truth in the Word of God.

I am a pastor, a father of seven children and grandfather of six children (and counting). I am a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where my theological thinking only began.

I hope that I can encourage you to examine your world with the same passion for truth that I have.

    Stan,
After the recent Joplin tornado tragedy, I thought of you and wondered if you and your family were living there. Via the “I can’t believe this works” power of Google I located your blog. It is now a special subscription in my Google reader! You continue to be not only a truth seeker, but a truth giver. Thank you for your ministry to a group of rag-tag Lancaster teenagers (let’s see …hum…about 37 years ago). Your teaching, example, & counsel were used by God to set me on a road to seek Him. By His grace and love I still am walking this journey.

What a special treat to hear from you, Kathryn! 37 years! Wow!! It only goes to show the powerful and faithful work of God’s Spirit in completing the work he began in us (Phil. 1:6) to conform us to the image of Christ (Rom. 8:29). Keep seeking the truth, dear friend, as it will draw us closer together in his body.
